Clare Portman’s beautiful debut single ‘All Yours Now’ is a classic story of the realisation that so often accompanies regret. With the emphasis on ‘now’, a heroine who has broken her own heart implores her lost love to forget the past and look to the future they could have together.

Clare’s powerful yet elegant vocals convey the urgency of the desire for forgiveness, and the tenderness with which she employs her guitar evokes the sadness of knowing there is no one else to blame.

Citing Ani DiFranco, Jewel, Sarah McLachlan and Joni Mitchell as influences and peers, Clare draws on her personal experiences and those of the people around her to tell us modern tales of love and living. On ‘All Yours Now’, she implores us to return to the purity of a woman, her voice and a guitar, just as her character beseeches her lover to return to her.
